Tristan Eilenburg
Tristan Eilenburg is Head of Growth at alugha, a Mannheim-based B2B SaaS company providing GDPR-compliant, EU-hosted video hosting and AI-powered video translation in over 200 languages. alugha's enterprise customers include Warner Bros, John Deere, Trimble, and Röchling.
Before alugha, Tristan spent more than ten years building and scaling growth functions at companies like DetailM, Voor, Kenjo, and Engelhorn Sports, with P&L responsibility up to 8 million euros and teams of more than 20 people.
For five of those years, Tristan lived and worked in Indonesia, mostly on Bali, often described as the Silicon Valley of Southeast Asia. That period shaped how he thinks about remote teams, distributed product work, and what international scale actually demands operationally.
Today his focus is on European software sovereignty: how GDPR-native platforms can win against US-hosted incumbents in the enterprise market. He writes about enterprise video hosting, GDPR compliance, Schrems II, and the operational reality of scaling B2B SaaS in Europe. His most recent guide, GDPR-Compliant Video Hosting: The Complete Enterprise Guide, covers data sovereignty and a practical evaluation framework for enterprise buyers. More of his writing lives on the alugha blog.
Tristan is a recurring speaker at industry events including DMEXCO, MauticCon, and Zukunft Personal, where he talks about B2B growth strategy, marketing automation, and what it actually takes to ship and sell European SaaS at scale.
