Philip Walton is the founder of SoftForge Ltd, a Kent-based web agency specialising in security, crime prevention, and cyber resilience projects for clients including Safer Parking, Secured by Design, Crime Prevention Academy, and multiple UK police organisations.

He has worked with Joomla since the Mambo era and has been the Vice President of Open Source Matters, Joomla 6.0 Release Manager, CMS Release Team Lead, GSoC Lead, and Marketing & Outreach DC.

A prolific Joomla Community Magazine author with many articles, he wrote the first three dedicated AI articles the magazine ever published, back in 2023. Phil founded the London Joomla User Group almost two decades ago.

Outside Joomla he is a rower (Great River Race finisher), juggler, unicyclist, patented inventor, and owned by cats.
