Brian Teeman is a long-standing member of the Joomla community, known for his outspoken views, dry British wit, and unwavering commitment to open source. As one of the original co-founders of Joomla, he has spent over two decades helping to shape the project, not just through code, but through advocacy, leadership, and a refusal to accept mediocrity.

Over the years, Brian has worn many hats: board member, community leader, event organiser, and frequent speaker at Joomla events around the world. He is passionate about the human side of open source — the collaboration, the community, and the messy reality of how things actually get done. His talks tend to challenge assumptions, question accepted wisdom, and encourage people to think a little differently about the tools they use and the communities they are part of.
