In this session, I will show you how Microsoft 365 and Joomla can work together to make user management and group permissions much easier in five Joomla website.
Instead of manually creating users, updating their information, and managing their permissions on each Joomla site, we can use Microsoft Entra ID Enterprise Applications and security groups to manage everything in one place. When users are added to or removed from a group in Microsoft 365, or when their information is updated, their access, user information, and permissions in Joomla can be automatically updated during Single Sign-On (SSO).
Please join my session as I share my real-world experience of moving from manual user management to automated user provisioning across five Joomla sites with around 4,000 users.
What You Will Learn:
- How to integrate Microsoft 365 with Joomla and set up Single Sign-On (SSO).
- How to map user information such as name, email, and other attributes from Microsoft 365 to Joomla.
- How to use Microsoft 365 security groups to control which Joomla sites users can access and what roles and permissions they receive.
- How to automatically create and update Joomla user accounts when users sign in, without manually creating accounts on each website.
